A Reflection: Restoring Hope Society’s Videos

As of September of 2026, I’ve been working with RHS for nearly a year, during which I got to meet the people we support, albeit through a screen. Through countless hours of scanning the footage we get from Gaza, to producing a storyboard, to editing, I felt like I got to know them, their fears, struggles, triumphs, and honest feelings.

This is what I’ve always longed for. Perhaps this is selfish of me, but I’ve always wanted to create an impact, no matter how small or ‘insignificant’ it may seem to the outside world. To me, if one person sees the work we have done about them, or if seeing that work makes them feel that their voice has reached the world, then I am content.

But man always wants more, and with each day, the fervor to support anyone in need, even by just editing a video, grows. I know that I can’t reach the sky without treading through Earth’s mountains at first, so for now, at this moment, I feel like I’m okay with the impact we’ve reached thus far.
